Globo's supernatural series Unsoul will be presented at Natpe Budapest
Latin American content giant Globo is present at Natpe Budapest this week (from August 25-27) with a robust portfolio, which mixes classic novels and recent successes in short formats, which conquer the audience with stories in tune with all cultures.

But one of these products totally escapes from the traditional products of Globo. Unsoul, original series Globoplay (OTT Globo platform), written by Ana Paula Maia and directed by Carlos Manga Jr. (Aruanas series) talks about the difficulties of understanding about death. After her husband’s suicide, a woman and her daughters move to Brigida, a small Ukrainian village in southern Brazil, which is preparing to celebrate the Ivana Kupala festival after 30 years of its ban. However, frightening events and a soul transmigration ritual shock the community and expose the secrets of a crime that links the fate of three families over time.

In this suspense series, full of mysticism, rituals, pagan celebrations, murder investigations, occult fear, anguish, solitude and witches, the mysteries multiply into an enigma difficult to decipher until the surprising revelation of how they are connected. Unsoul stands out for its distinctive aesthetic – a large dark forest, cold ambience, small villages – reminiscent of the of the landscapes of Eastern European countries as Ukrain, as well as addressing local legends. According to the author, Ana Paula Maia, she used elements from Ukrainian cultures and Slavic mythology to write the story.
