On September 15-16, in the Carpathians, filming started for a Ukrainian-Italian project Koza Nostra jointly produced by FILM.UA Group and Pepito Produzioni. Later the filming will take place in Italy, namely Rome and Sicily.
The plot is based on a story of a relationship between housemaid Vlada Koza and Fredo Lagan who is an important figure in Cosa Nostra, an Italian mafia clan. The lead role of Vlada Koza will be played by a well-known Ukrainian actress Irma Vitovska. The film will be directed by Giovanni Dota who has 50 nominations and 22 awards from international film festivals under his belt.
Koza Nostra is being filmed upon commission of RAI Cinema (film department of an Italian TV and radio company) and is presently the biggest coproduction between Italy and Ukraine. The premiere is planned for 2021.
