HG Distribution announced the acquisition of the international sales rights of the web series Claire and the elderly. This series is produced by Ugo Media for UnisTV and Tou.TV.

The short series (6 x 10-13’) has just been awarded with the Télécâble Sat Hebdo Short Form Prize at the third edition of Canneseries.

Claire and the elderly is a poignant and deeply human story shouting of a most current reality of the importance of our elders. It follows Claire, 9 years old, whose addict mother, after a call to 911, is taken by social services. The little girl ends up with the only relative she has left: her grand-mother Pauline and finds herself living in a seniors’ residence.

HG Distribution collaborates on this first International co-distribution with CBC & Radio-Canada Distribution because they believe in working closely with independent producers to finance, showcase, market, and sell their content.
