Italian Broadcasters are celebrating Dante Alighieri the "Father of the Italian language" in 2021.
Italy will mark the 700th anniversary of the death of the mediaeval poet and philosopher Dante Alighieri, known as the Father of the Italian language, with a rich programme of commemorative events in 2021.
One of the first is the documantary produced by Rai to be broadcast on Thursday 10 December at 9.10 pm, on channel 54 of digital terrestrial. Professor Alessandro Barbero will guide viewers to discover the Supreme Poet in the documentary film “Alighieri Durante, called Dante. Life and adventures of a man of the Middle Ages ", written by Davide Savelli, directed by Graziano Conversano, which Rai Cultura presents in the first TV event with the illustrations and videos of Dante Plus, exhibition curated by Marco Miccoli (Bonobolabo), who from 2016 brings together many artists, different from each other who, from illustration to comics and street art, give life to a new identity of the poet.
