The local adaptation of the format (8x25') is a co-production with Rai Fiction and Simona Ercolani of Stand by Me.
The controversial series, adapted also in France talks about mental health problems experienced by a group of teen. The first series was like a "wake-up" call for a whole generation that starts life as a carefully seeded viral internet campaign to provoke a dialogue around mental problems. From a music video filmed in a psychiatric hospital then released on Youtube to famous Vloggers talking about their own mental health challenges, the unspoken pain, loneliness and depression commonly experienced by a generation the short series became a success and a good format.
The scripted format is based on true stories about four trobled teens and their journey to a secure psychiatric ward.
The Italian version is written by Laura Grimaldi and Pietro Seghetti, directed by Michele Vannucci.
