FormatBiz | Lux Vide will produce a series based on Emilio Salgari's best novel Sandokan with Turkish actor Can Yaman

Italian producer Luca Bernabei announced that Lux Vide will produce Sandokan a series based on the famous novels of Emilio Salgari featuring a new modern version of the pirate hero Sandokan. Turkish actor Can Yaman (Daydreamer, Bitter Sweet) will feature the main character and Italian actor Luca Argentero (Doc in your hands) will be his friend Yanez de Gomera.

The series (8 episodes of 50') will be filmed in exotic locations next Summer and many International players are already interested in the project.

The series is written by Alessandro Sermoneta (Diavoli, Purchè finisca bene) and Davide Lantieri (Odio l’Estate, I delitti del Barlume), will be adapted upon on Salgari's novels with an accent on the feminine role of "The Pearl of Labuan" whose actress has not been assigned yet.

The first season will be produced by Luca Bernabei.
