Good ratings for Mediaset’s new comedy series Fratelli Caputo, starring two cult faces of Italian fiction Nino Frassica and Cesare Bocci, which at its debut exceeded 3 million views with a share of 14,8%. A considerable result for Mediaset, whose prime time programs, excluding Big Brother VIP, bring together around two and a half million viewers.
At the centerpiece of this new four-part comedy series there is the love/hate relationship between the two half-siblings Nino (Nino Frassica) and Alberto (Cesare Bocci), who meet each other for the first time after their father abandoned Nino’s family to be close to Alberto’s one.
Nino and Alberto are both sons of Calogero Caputo, long-regretted mayor of Sicilian little town Roccatella who had married him countrywoman Agata (Aurora Quattrocchi) and had his first son, Nino.Calogero, however, during a business trip to Milan had met Franca (Anna Teresa Rossini) and had her second son, Alberto, for whom he abandoned the Sicilian family.
Fratelli Caputo is produced by Ciao Ragazzi! for Canale 5 with the support of the Apulia Film Commission, the comedy is ideated by Valentina Capecci and directed by Alessio Inturri.
