Sky Italy unveiled the first photos of new series Domina. that will be broadcast next May on Sky Atlantic and the streaming service Now TV.  Produced by Sky Studios and Fifty Fathoms with Cattleya as executive producer server, the historical drama tells the power struggles of Ancient Rome from the perspective of women. 

 The show is led by Kasia Smutniak (Dolittle), Liam Cunningham (Game Of Thrones) and Isabella Rossellini (Blue Velvet). The eigh-part series follow the rise of Livia Drusilla, who overcame adversity and became the most powerful woman in the world.

The series is written by Simon Burke (Fortitude, Strike Back) and Nicola Wilson, Emily Marcuson and Namsi Khan.

Directed by Claire McCarthy (Ophelia, The Luminaries) with a team composed by David Evans (Downtonw Abbey, Cucumber) and Debs Paterson.
