The Guardians the new series about to premiere in Chile by Megamedia, created and produced by Altirosapiens and distributed internationally by MGE, has been one of the productions selected by Iberseries Platino Industria for its exhibition section Chapter ONE, an event that will take place from September 27th to October 1st, and which brings together the highest quality productions of the audiovisual industry in Spanish and Portuguese. The exclusive premiere of the first episode of “The Guardians” will be held on September 28th at 7:00 p.m. in room 1 of the Capitol Cinema in Madrid, Spain.
¨We are proud that The Guardians has been selected by Iberseries Platino Industria, because it is undoubtedly a recognition of the high production standards we have, and a confirmation of the importance of developing stories that generate a social impact and a cultural contribution, through themes that are universal and relevant to all audiences”, commented director Guillermo Helo, from the Altirosapiens Productions.
“The Guardians” is inspired by real events, in the thousands of cases of abuse and deaths that came to light from 2016 in Chile, in different residences of the National Service for Minors. Created by Altirosapiens, in co-production with Megamedia Chile and with the support of public funds from CNTV, this series, created and directed by Guillermo Helo Juan-Oliver and produced by Susana Espinoza, is interpreted by Tamara Acosta, Paulina Urrutia, Francisca Lewin, with the special participation of Amparo Noguera and Paulina García, among other great talents. The series immerses itself in the world of child protection to address a contingent issue that is related to the violation of the rights of children at social risk, highlighting the errors of a system in collapse. This production will be broadcast soon through Megamedia Chile and is distributed internationally by MGE.
¨Since our foundation, at MGE we have assumed the mission of offering entertainment content of the highest quality, but we have also committed to providing stories with powerful narratives that connect emotionally with the international audience, through relevant and universal topics, that need to be told and seen, and The Guardians is the best example of this, that is why we are so pleased that it has been selected to be part of one of the most important events in the industry, such as Iberseries Platino¨, added Esperanza Garay, CEO of MGE.
