The series is based on the 2019 movie "Bangla", that follows Phaim and his friends, a group of young people of Bengali origin. Born and raised in Italy, they feel like Italians in their own right, but still retain a strong sense of belonging to their culture of origin. The series chronicles the religious, family and sentimental conflicts that Phaim is in the grip of, and his attempts to reconcile his two identities. To complicate matters, he falls in love with Asia, an enterprising and curious young girl. Their two worlds seem irreconcilable, but are they really?
