 Abacus Media Rights (AMR), an Amcomri Entertainment company, has sold South African produced, original sci-fi survival thriller Pulse to BET+ in the USA. The Paramount owned SVOD channel has acquired the 6 x 60’ series produced by Media Musketeers and will launch it on 18 August.

Filmed in Mauritius and produced in the UK and South Africa, the series was shot in a world created by the visionary Oscar, Palme d’Or, and BAFTA winning VFX team behind Skyfall, Harry Potter, Fargo, The Dark Knight Rises, Kick-Ass, The Bourne Ultimatum, and Tomb Raider, including executive producer Steve Lanning, producers Jake Lanning, Ben Lanning, and Potego Matseke, writer Stephen R Clarke, and director and producer Sallas De Jager.

Featuring Tarryn Wyngaard (Raised By Wolves, The Tree), Thapelo Mokoena (Trackers, Nothing For Mahala, Bulletproof), Carel Nel (Raised By Wolves, Grant, Roots), Sven Ruygrok (Spud, Zulu), Earl Wan (Just Mates, Supercapitalist, Coronation Street), Pulse tells the explosive story of an Electromagnetic Pulse that disables a secure building and disrupts the bio-electric signals in everyone’s minds, trapping a group of video game designers and turning each floor into a psychotic battlefield. Can the modern human race survive without the technology that defines our way of life today… Survival is not just a game…
