The series (6x60') sees a team of five fifteen-year-old Italian gymnasts compete at an international tournament, high up in the snowy, atmospheric Italian mountains. Rivalries are fierce and relationships complex. They are all loyal teammates but fighting individually for a chance at Olympic selection. On the cusp of adulthood, the gymnasts fight their bodies too; teenage worries about growing taller and fatter, and fluctuating mental health are heightened by the lightness of the leaps and flips their sport demands.
Framed by police interviews with Martina, it is revealed that this dangerous competition has resulted in the death of a competitor. The police suspect murder.
As the tensions grews within the team, the murky motivations of the coach Rachele and Doctor Alex, and the conflicts with the international teams play out.
The series is produced by Indigo Film and Network Movie in coproduction with ZDFneo, Rai Fiction, Paramount + and All3Media (also distributor).
