ESTERNO NOTTE tells the story of the kidnapping of Aldo Moro and his 55 days of confinement, after which his body will be found on May 1978 in a car in central Rome. In 1978 Italy was torn apart by a civil war: on the one side there are Brigate Rosse, the main of the far-left armed organizations, and on the other the State. It is a very critical moment in Italian history, when a government supported by the #PartitoComunistaItaliano (PCI) is about to establish itself, for the first time in a Western country, in an alliance with the nation's historic conservative party, Democrazia Cristiana (DC). Aldo Moro, President of the DC, is the main proponent of this agreement, but on the day the government took office, March 16, 1978, while on his way to Parliament, Aldo Moro was kidnapped by Brigate Rosse. The series is shot from different points of view: Aldo Moro himself, his wife Eleonora, Francesco Cossiga - Minister of the Interior, the Pope, Paolo VI, and Adriana Faranda, a member of Brigate Rosse.
