Banijay Italy is filming the second season of  Professore, a dramedy, 6×100’ produced by Banijay Studios Italy in co-production with Rai Fiction, based on the 
the Spanish format Merlì of TV3 Catalunya, distributed by Lagardère.
The series stars Alessandro Gassmann in the main role, but the cast include Claudia Pandolfi, Francesca Cavallin, Chistiane Filangieri, Paolo Conticini, Nicolas Maupas. Directed by Alessandro D’Alatri. Written by Sandro Petraglia, Fidel Signorile, Valentina Gaddi, Sebastiano Melloni.

The story of the eccentric professor Dante Balestra at the Leonardo da Vinci high school in Rome reached an average share of 4.8mln viewers with 22.4% share on the first season broadcast by Rai 1.
