Nordics formats focus on finding new hits
Let’s see, country-by-country, which format are adapted in Nordics, and which are latest news from the markets and from public and private tv channels.

Amazon Prime Video has expanded its Nordic offer by ordering local version of LOL: Last One Laughing, which will be hosted by actress Eva Rose and produced in Sweden by Jarowskij. The streamer has also picked up three formats, with each being remade for subscribers in Finland, Norway, Sweden and Denmark. These are: ITV Studios’ practical joke show Pranked (prod. by ITVS); Fremantle’s dating format Sweathearts (prod. by Nordics Fremantle production companies: the Swedish Baluba, the Norwegian Monster, the Danish Strong Production and the Finnish Moskito); Banijay’s Good Luck Guys, from French W9. Four local versions produced by Banijay companies Meter Tv, Mastiff Denmark, Mastiff Norway and Banijay Finland. It follows six duos of influencers and reality stars with more skills for social media than for life in the wild, as they set out on a frantic adventure in rural Thailand.

Sweden
In Sweden TV4, the most important private channel, actually airs: Let’s dance (the Swedish version of Strictly come dancing) produced by Mastiff TV (Banijay) which also produces Flirty Dancing, a dating show in which two complete strangers meet to take on the dancefloor together; Farmen (The Farm), the original format born in 2001 and still on air, produced by Fremantle (which also produces the local versions of Got Talent and Idol). Meter (Banijay) produces for TV4 the Swedish versions of The Great British Bake Off and Lego Masters.
TV3 (Viaplay Group) is a cable channel. The latest arrival is The Journey: Viaplay has commissioned this adventure format originally created by Banijay label Mastiff TV Denmark and produced by Meter. Six celebrities travel through the Nepalese jungle, trekking alongside elephants, tigers, and rhinos to reach the Himalayan mountains. TV3 also airs the local version of Survivor (Robinson), previously aired by the public SVT.

Norway
NRK1, the first public channel, airs Maskorama (The Masked Singer) and Familiekokkene (Family Food fight). TV2, a private channel, airs The Voice (prod. Nordisk Banijay), Farmen, Skal vi dance (Strictly come dancing), Married at first sight, but the most important news of the year is the launch by TV2 of The fittest pensioner, a reality competition in which 10 fittest seniors move into a home together, for a fierce competition where they will face multiple challenges. To claim the title, they will compete in both mental and physical challenges, aiming to perform their best and get a high ranking. The person with the lowest score will be up for elimination, battling it out to save their spot in the house. The format is produced by Montreux film and distributed by Armoza Formats. 
Discovery has followed the lead of its Swedish counterpart and ordered a local and celebrity version of Belgian format 99 To Beat, to be known as Sistemann Ut: 100 people compete in 99 every days challenges with one elimination per challenge. The contestants don’t have to be the smartest or the fastest, they just can’t come last, with the final person standing having to beat the other 99 contestants. Produced by Nexiko (which also produced the Swedish series),  on a format distributed by Primitives.
Banijay has optioned the rights for survival game show format The Genius Game from South Korean CJ ENM. Its label Mastiff TV Norway will produce the local version of the format. In this show, contestants are chosen based on their social IQ, charisma, charm, and intelligence to participate in a battle of wits and manipulation, to challenge their analytical reasoning, attention to detail, memory and loyalty.

Finland
MTV3, a private channel, airs the local versions of  The Bachelor, Masterchef and Masterchef Vip (Endemol Shine Denmark), Secret song, Dancing with the stars (Banijay), Lego masters (Endemol), Married at first sight (Endemol).
Nelonen, another private channel, airs Survivor Suomi (Banijay), Temptation Island Suomi (Banijay), Big Brother and Big Brother Vip (Endemol), All together now Suomi (Endemol)
Discovery+ airs Singletown Suomi (Banijay, dist. by Keshet), a dating in which five couples press pause on their relationships and spend one incredible summer of fun, living their best single lives - but when the experiment ends they have to choose to get back together or stick to their newfound single life.
Prime Video airs The bridge (Endemol), a reality series in which a group of strangers are sent in a remote location with the aim to build a bridge an win a large cash prize.
Fremantle produces the Finnish version of The Traitors. A mystery format based on the dutch De Verraders,  sees a group of contestants move into an atmospheric location with the goal to work as a team to compete a series of challenging missions to earn a cash prize. Dist. by All3 Media.

Denmark

Mastiff TV (Banijay) slate includes original formats  Drag Me Out and The Journey, as well as local versions of shows ranging from Good Luck Guys to SAS: Who Dares Wins, but also Survivor. Metronome (Banijay) produces All together now (Kanal5), Masterchef (Kanal3), Family food fight (Kanal5), Anything goes (Tv2). Blu will produce a Danish version of The Traitors for TV2.
DR1, a public channel, has commissioned a local adaptation of Banijay entertainment format Starstruck, prod. by Mastiff, which sees a trio of performers transformed into the same iconic star, courtesy of an elite team of stylists. With a cash prize at stake, only one will go through to the final and be in with a chance of winning.
