Winning the 2022 Nastro d’Argento as best series of the year with the first season, as announced by the newly released official trailer, A Casa Tutti Bene - La Serie returns on May 5 on Sky and streaming on NOW with the highly anticipated eight new episodes.
Produced by Sky Studios and Andrea and Raffaella Leone for Lotus Production - a Leone Film Group company, the second season was written by Gabriele Muccino, Barbara Petronio (head writer and creative producer), Camilla Buizza, Gabriele Galli and Andrea Nobile.
A large choral cast plays the members of the large family, in its two branches, at the center of the story. Laura Morante (Lacci, Ciliegine, Ricordati di me) leads the cast as Alba Ristuccia, following the death of her husband (in the first season played by Francesco Acquaroli) who became the owner of the San Pietro restaurant, in Rome, and Carlo's mother, Sara and Paolo Ristuccia, played respectively by Francesco Scianna (Baarìa, La mafia uccide solo d'estate, Latin Lover), Silvia D'Amico (The Place, Hotel Gagarin, Christian) and Simone Liberati (La profezia dell'armadillo, Suburra).
Euridice Axen (Gli Infedeli, Loro, Il Processo) is Elettra, Carlo's ex-wife, while Sveva Mariani plays Luna, the couple's daughter. In the role of Ginevra, Carlo's current partner, is Laura Adriani (Tutta colpa di Freud, Non c'è più religione). Antonio Folletto (Gomorra - The Series, Capri-Revolution, I bastardi di Pizzofalcone), on the other hand, is Sara's partner, Diego.
Then the Mariani family, who by the will of the head of the family Pietro Ristuccia have inherited an important share of the family restaurant: Paola Sotgiu (Suburra - the series) is Maria Mariani, Pietro's sister and mother of Sandro and Riccardo Mariani, played respectively by Valerio Aprea (Boris, Figli, Smetto quando voglio) and Alessio Moneta (1992, Baciami ancora). Emma Marrone (Gli anni più belli) plays Riccardo's companion Luana, while Milena Mancini (La terra dell'abbastanza, A mano disarmata) is Beatrice, Sandro's partner.
Also returning to the cast are Maria Chiara Centorami (Come saltano i pesci, Universitari - Molto più che amici) and Mariana Falace (Gli anni più belli, Si vive una volta sola). And with Eugenia Costantini again in the recurring role of Olivia, Paolo's former companion and mother of his son Giovanni, played by the very young Federico Ielapi (Pinocchio, Quo vado?, Tutti per 1 - 1 per tutti), and Marco Rossetti (Il Cacciatore, Speravo de morì prima, 7 donne e un mistero) again as Maurizio Mandolesi, Carlo's friend and business partner.
Several absolute debuts in the cast of the second season: French singer-songwriter and actor Tom Leeb (Cyrano, mon amour, 8 Rue de l'Humanité) will play a charismatic successful chef courted by many restaurants, in Italy and abroad, with an ambitious project for San Pietro; Camilla Semino Favro (Survivors, My Mother, Diaz - Don't Clean Up This Blood) will be Rebecca Baldini, a successful lawyer and Sara's old friend; Yan Tual (Liaison, Outlander, Rifkin's Festival) will play Olivia's new partner, Pierrick; Filippo Valle (Elisa di Rivombrosa, Don Matteo 7, Woman Detective) will take on the role of Giuseppe, a new character related to Beatrice.
During the various stages of production, measures were taken to limit the impact on the environment, designed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and capable of earning the second season of A Casa Tutti Bene the coveted "Albert" sustainability certification. A choice in line with the Sky Group's commitment, which with its Sky Zero campaign aims to become Net Zero Carbon by 2030.
