Canale 5 will premiere a new mafia drama series The Patriarch next Friday, April 14 in prime time. The six-part series, produced by Camfilm and presented by Taodue - Mediaset Group, directed by Claudio Amendola, tells the story of a charismatic entrepreneur, Nemo Bandera, who has led Deep Sea to become one of the most important companies in Puglia, thanks to his business skills, but also thanks to illicit trafficking based in the port of his city, Levante.

However, Nemo's life is suddenly disrupted by the discovery that he is ill and the realisation that he will soon no longer be able to carry on his business. Only his trusted Ferro is aware of the illness, while to his wife Serena and his two children, Nina and Carlo, Nemo announces only that he wants to retire from the business and choose his heir to lead the company.

The war for succession breaks out. Deep Sea's lawyer, the charming and unscrupulous Mario, Nemo's godson and fiancé of the ambitious Elisa, expects the choice to fall to him and is greatly disappointed when the Patriarch announces that one of his two sons by blood will succeed him, but they seem to have neither the experience nor the character to lead such a complex company.
