Fred Media/Radar Acquires 150+ Hours of Primetime Content from Seven Network
Fred Media/Radar has secured a significant partnership with Seven Network, acquiring over 150 hours of primetime content for international distribution. This slate includes 12 premium titles spanning popular genres such as Reality, Home & Design, and Food, with many format rights available. The acquired content will be officially presented to global buyers at MIPCOM next month.

Key titles include Instant Hotel, a reality series set in the world of home accommodation rentals; Australia’s Cheapest Weddings, which showcases love on a budget; and Yummy Mummies, a reality show following glamorous young mothers. Other highlights include Zumbo’s Just Desserts and Plate of Origin, both focusing on food and culinary competition.

Roger Vanderspikken, Head of Operations and Acquisitions at Fred Media/Radar, expressed excitement about adding such strong Australian content to their growing catalog. With format rights for many titles, they see significant potential for localized versions in international markets. This collaboration further strengthens the relationship between Fred Media/Radar and Seven Network, following previous projects like The Hunters and Australia’s Most Dangerous Prisoners.

Richard Henson, Director of Distribution & Content Partnerships at Seven Network, highlighted the alignment between both companies and anticipates a strong response at MIPCOM. He emphasized that the partnership marks the beginning of a long-term relationship with Fred Media/Radar, reflecting a shared strategic vision for global content distribution.
