The 10th edition of MIA | Mercato Internazionale Audiovisivo officially started today in Rome, marking a decade of fostering creativity and innovation in the global audiovisual sector. Running from October 14 to 18, this year's edition celebrates the production of over 100 “Made in MIA” works and sets a new record with over 600 project submissions from 90 countries, a 20% increase compared to 2023.
Throughout the event, participants can engage in over 80 panels, meetings, and keynote sessions, with industry heavyweights such as Owen Dennis (creator of Among Us), Katherine Pope (Sony Pictures Television), Odessa Rae (Academy Award-winning producer of Navalny), and Clayton Townsend (producer of Ripley and Oliver Stone films). These sessions will cover the latest trends and challenges in the audiovisual industry.
MIA will also showcase 60 of the most anticipated Italian and international projects for the upcoming season, spanning Animation, Documentary, Drama, and Film, as well as immersive experiences featured in the MIA XR program.
This year's edition introduces the MIA Development Awards, recognizing outstanding projects in the Co-Production Market. The program also includes the presentation of the APA Annual Report and key industry discussions led by ANICA, focusing on project selection and success benchmarks.
Supported by Italy’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, ITA, Creative Europe MEDIA, and Unicredit, MIA continues to serve as a vital hub for international collaboration, offering opportunities for discovering new projects and forging business partnerships.
