The first is Love My Face (produced by Flabbergast for Channel 4): disability campaigner Jono Lancaster (pictured) follows people with a range of visible facial differences as they seek support, advice and transformative treatments to help them accept or cope with their differences. In each episode, three people with conspicuous physical conditions - whether congenital, chronic, acquired or perceived - meet with a team of elite medical experts to explore possible bespoke treatment plans that use cutting-edge technology to transform the elements of their appearance that most trouble them. At the end of each episode, we see the dramatic transformations as the results of their treatments are revealed.
Whether they choose to follow this path or not, they'll be supported every step of the way by Jono, who has seen first-hand how the world can treat people differently simply because of the way they look.
