TV movie Purché finisca bene - Questione di Stoffa, directed by Alessandro Angelini, tells the story of a “rivalry” between two tailoring businesses in Veneto: the historic, family-run Mampresol, where young designer Matteo (played by Pierpaolo Spollon) works, and the newly arrived Deepti’s Tailor, owned by Ramesh (Kabir Bedi) and his nephews. Matteo is an aspiring graphic novelist who, while waiting to publish his own work, helps run the family business. Raised by his father, Orlando, and grandmother, Mina, Matteo supports them both in keeping the legacy of Mampresol alive. Their most important client is the flamboyant Serena Ravagnin, who regularly arrives with sketches she dreams of turning into real garments, all in anticipation of the fashion show that will launch her career as a bona fide designer. The spark between the two rival shops is ignited by this very fashion show, but, as in any good comedy, love soon complicates things. Produced by Rai Fiction and Pepito Produzioni.
