One of our standout titles, Liar, from Two Brothers Pictures recently reached an impressive milestone with 15 versions worldwide, including our first-ever scripted format production in Sub-Saharan Africa. At MIPCOM last week, we also celebrated the Indian adaptation of our scripted format Dark Money Kafas taking home the C21 Awards for Best Scripted Format, following its Scripted Format win earlier this year at the Content Asia Awards.
Could you share some insight into which thrillers are travelling well as scripted formats in Europe?
We also have some exciting adaptations from our thriller slate. Informant, the German adaptation of Informer, originally created by Sam Mendes’ Neal Street, has recently launched on ARD and we’re looking forward to the German adaptation of NRK’s Norwegian drama Eyewitness, set to launch early next year.
Could you talk through some comedy highlights from All3Media International’s scripted formats catalogue?
On the lighter side, we have Let’s Be Frank, a comedic thriller from the award-winning Belgian producer Caviar TV, which is generating lots of buzz with scripted buyers. We also have New Zealand comedy Step Dave continuing its international success. With adaptations in Ukraine, Greece and Hungary, Poland released their second series at the start of the year, and Two Brothers Pictures Dark Comedy Back to Life also launched in Poland back in August. And a new version of Laid is coming soon to the US on Peacock. Adapted from the Australian comedy, this version will launch stars Oscar nominee Stephanie Hsu, Girls star Zosia Mamet, and Academy Award and Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Finneas O’Connell.
