Two titles from Two Rivers Media feature in the BBC Select deal: Keeping It Up (1 x 1½ hr, for BBC Storyville, UK) tells the astonishing story of the little blue pill that launched a sexual revolution 25 years ago, and Monster: The Mystery of Loch Ness (3 x 1 hr, for Paramount+, UK) traces the human stories at the heart of a monster mystery.
Also making their debut in the US and Canada on BBC Select are Secrets of Our Universe with Tim Peake (3 x 1 hr, Coming Up Roses for Channel 5, UK), Britain’s Most Beautiful Road (4 x 1 hr, Purple TV for Channel 4, UK), Meet the Roman Emperor with Mary Beard (1 hr, Lion TV for BBC Two, UK) and Westminster Abbey: Behind Closed Doors (6 x 1 hr, Spun Gold for Channel 5, UK).
Streaming service Documentary+ has acquired AVOD rights to two feature-length documentaries. Trump: The Criminal Conspiracy Case, produced by the Emmy-winning 72 Films for the BBC, UK, follows the biggest criminal case against Donald Trump, and Paul Kemp Productions’ Searching for Satoshi: The Mysterious Disappearance of the Bitcoin Creator delves into the mystery of what happened to the mastermind behind Bitcoin. Searching for Satoshi – produced for CBC, Canada – has also been acquired by SVOD platform Curiosity Stream.
Finally, AVOD and linear platform Earth X has secured rights to all four seasons of Coming up Roses’ epic travel series Big Adventures (for Channel 5, UK) and Betty TV’s two-part series Gino and Fred’s Emission Impossible (for ITV, UK). All series will be available for the platform’s US audience.
