Isabelle Degeorges Wins Series Mania’s Fifth Annual “Woman in Series Award”
Series Mania Founder and General Director Laurence Herszberg announced Isabelle Degeorges, President of Gaumont Télévision, as the recipient of the Fifth Annual “Woman in Series Award.” The award, honoring outstanding women in the audiovisual industry, will be presented on March 25 at the Series Mania Awards Ceremony at Théâtre Barrière. On March 26, Degeorges will participate in an exclusive “In Conversation With” session, moderated by Marta Balaga of Variety.
Past recipients include Christina Sulebakk (2021), Mo Abudu (2022), Nicola Shindler (2023), and Francesca Orsi (2024).
“Isabelle’s career has propelled French original series to international success. Lupin and Becoming Karl Lagerfeld are just two examples of her impact,” said Herszberg. Series Mania Forum Director Francesco Capurro added, “Her passion and leadership make her an inspiration to the industry.”
Degeorges expressed her gratitude, calling the award a tribute to 25 years in storytelling.
A Sorbonne graduate, Degeorges began her career at Images et Compagnie before joining Gaumont in 2011 to launch its French TV division. She has since produced acclaimed series, including Signal (Paramount+), The Deal (Arte & RTS), Pax Massilia (Netflix), and The Art of Crime (France Télévisions). She currently produces Pax Massilia S2 (Netflix), The Art of Crime S9 (France Télévisions), and In the Shadow of the Forests (Apple TV+).
