At Series Mania in Lille, we had the pleasure of meeting Rachel Glaister, EVP of Press, Brands & Marketing at All3 Media International. She shared exciting news about one of the world’s most enduring and beloved TV detectives Chief Inspector Barnaby of Midsomer Murders.

“We’ve just issued a press release about the start of production for Season 25,” Glaister revealed during our conversation at the market floor of  the Grand Palais venue in Lille. “It’s an iconic moment for us and our fans worldwide. Working with the cast and travelling on global press tours is always a joy, especially seeing just how deeply people connect with the show.”

The series, known for its idyllic English countryside settings and delightfully twisted murders, has captivated viewers around the globe for over two decades. And that global affection shows no signs of waning.

“Earlier this year, we visited Latvia and Prague, and reflecting on their first Central Eastern European press tour,  “the reception was absolutely astonishing. We were on the news five times in Latvia — just walking around created a media stir. Fans were ecstatic to see Inspector Barnaby in the market square!”
Rachel Glaister described queues stretching around the blocks for autographs, with fans eager for a chance to meet the team behind their favorite show. “We did live television, met with fans face to face — it was emotional and overwhelming in the best way.”

In addition to the new season, All3Media  is expanding the Midsomer Murders brand in exciting directions. “We’re thrilled to be launching a new licensing range, and there’s a stage play in the works,” Rachel said, hinting at fresh opportunities for fans to engage with the series in new formats.
