Secuoya are looking to co-produce the latter with Latin America. The first production by Eduardo Galdo’s team will air in Spain on Atresmedia.
This is the outcome of the alliance between the Spanish content studio and the Turkish production company launched a few months ago.
Nominated for an International Emmy for Best Telenovela in 2018, the international hit is a romantic, action-packed melodrama that will air in Spain on Atresmedia. Brave and Beautiful is the first project from the Stories area, led by executive producer Eduardo Galdo, a new entrant to the Secuoya Studios team.
Brave and Beautiful (Cesur ve Güzel) premiered on Star TV in 2016 and proved an instant hit in Turkey, where it won several awards, including the TelevisionDisisi.com Awards and accolades from GP magazine and the Sayidaty publication. The series also achieved international success: it aired in almost twenty countries, such as Hungary, Romania, Spain, Albania, Greece, Bolivia, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, Chile and Peru, among others.
This long-running series traces the love story between a young fighter from a humble family who is determined to avenge the death of his father, and a beautiful heiress, daughter of the suspected murderer of the hero’s father.
With Brave and Beautiful, Secuoya Studios and Ay Yapim are taking the first step towards building their partnership to develop TV adaptations of the Turkish production company’s international hit for the global market.
