The latest television season kicked off with a wave of new shows and returning favourites across Rai and Mediaset. Here's a rundown of all the premieres from January:

January 2
• Rai 2 introduced the quiz show "The Floor - Ne rimarrà solo uno" on Tuesday, January 2nd. With an adaptation of the quiz show "The Floor," where 100 contestants engage in quiz duels on a giant LED floor, each representing a field of knowledge. The premiere garnered an impressive 1.126 million viewers (7.10% audience share). Produced by Blu Yazmine and distributed by Talpa Studios.

• Real Time launched "Primo Appuntamento Hotel," a local adaptation of the dating show "First Dates Hotel," on the same day. Following sixty new singles seeking love in a luxury resort in Southern Italy. Produced by Stand by Me for Warner Bros. Discovery and distributed by WBTVD.

January 3
• Rai 1 celebrated the 70th birthday of the Italian public broadcaster with a special anniversary edition of the historic game show "Rischiatutto" on Wednesday, January 3rd. The quiz, originally inspired by the American game show "Jeopardy!" and adapted by Mike Bongiorno, retraced Rai's many shows, characters, and stories from the past 70 years, attracting 4.5 million viewers (28.2% audience share).

January 4
• Amazon Prime Video premiered "Karaoke Night-Talenti Senza Vergogna," a local adaptation of "Celebrity Karaoke Club," on Thursday, January 4th. The show features amateur singers judged not on their talent but on their ability to have fun and let go. Produced by Stand By Me and distributed by NBCUniversal.
• Rai 2 debuted the 20-part series "Appresso alla Musica. Premiata bottega di antiquariato musicale" on the same day. January 6
• Rai 1 presented the game show "Affari Tuoi - Speciale Lotteria Italia" on Saturday, January 6th, attracting 5.537 million viewers (31.4% audience share).
• Food Network introduced the new cooking show "Food Games" on Thursday, January 11th. Hosted by Fabio Esposito, the competition focuses on contestants' knowledge and preparation skills. Produced by iCompany for Warner Bros., with Chef Marco Gallo and actor Francesco Procopio as judges.

January 12

• Canale 5 aired "Ciao Darwin 9". Produced by RTI. and recorded 3.4 million viewers with an audience share of 23.6%, and TV8 presented "Cucine da Incubo 10" on the same day, which recorded 274k and an audience share of 1.6%.

January 13
• Rai 1 welcomed back "Tali e Quali" for its third edition on Saturday, January 13th. This spin-off of "Your Face Sounds Familiar" features ordinary contestants undergoing transformations instead of celebrities. Produced by Endemol Shine Italy and distributed by Banijay Rights.
• The long-running reality show "C’è posta per te" returned to prime time on Canale 5 for its 27th edition on Saturday, January 13th, attracting 4.556 million viewers (28.8% share). Produced by Fascino.

January 18
• Rai 3 introduced the talk show "Splendida Cornice" on Wednesday, January 18th, garnering 829k viewers (4.4% audience share).

January 29
A new entertainment series titled "Mad in Italy" premiere on Rai 2 on Monday, January 29th. This six-part variety entertainment comedy series features more than 40 artists sharing the stage with stand-up comics in each episode. The show is a continuation of the "Made in Sud" project, which ran from 2008 to 2022 for 15 series, initially airing on Comedy Central and MTV, and from 2012 on Rai 2. "Mad in Italy" is produced by Direzione Intrattenimento Rai and Tunnel Produzioni. The premiere recorded 3.5mln viewers with an audience share of 19.8%.
