Gloria is a series based on the novel Vorrei vedere (tr: I Would like to see you) written by Roberto Proia, produced by Eagle Pictures, rai Fiction and directed by Fausto Brizzi.
The story is focused on Gloria Grandi, a great and unforgettable diva of Italian cinema, convinced that her talent is wasted on television serials. She wants to return to Cinema with a capital C and thinks - or rather, knows - that once she has left TV she will once again become a star on the big screen. However, things turn out differently and in order to bring her back into the limelight, her mephistophelean agent has an idea that is as brilliant as it is mean...
The cast includes Sabrina Ferilli (who returns to Rai after 10 years), Massimo Ghini, Sergio Assisi, Emanuela Grimalda, Luca Angeletti.
