Something Special has announced the licensing of two formats into Spain and unveiled plans to introduce a captivating new dating format at MIPFormats/MIPTV. Praise ChanMi Shin, Head of International Business at Something Special, will be presenting a case study of Still Alive, a mystery reality game show format developed in collaboration with renowned Korean creators Miyeon Kim and Bora Lee. The presentation will take place at 10:15 am on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at the Palais des Festivals Riviera Stage.

Mediawan's Spanish production labels, Veranda and Boomerang, have acquired two formats from Something Special. Veranda secured the spooky format Still Alive, while Boomerang acquired the celebrity competition format Battle in the Box.

Still Alive is a riveting reality game show where contestants navigate through clues and challenges in a mysterious mansion. They must contend with new forbidden rules introduced every four hours, including a hidden "elimination rule" that adds suspense to the gameplay.

Battle in the Box features two celebrity teams living in an empty box divided by a movable wall, armed only with a toothbrush, for 24 hours. They earn space and luxuries by conquering physical and mental challenges, but victory for one team means less space for the other.
