Dutch Debut: Over the Atlantic and Destination X Hit the Airwaves
The Netherlands continues to embrace the success of reality adventure trends with the recent launch of two highly anticipated titles.

One of these titles is Over the Atlantic, a Dutch adaptation of the Finnish entertainment format.  The first episode on  Thursday, May 16 at 8:30 PM on RTL4 under the local title Over De Oceaan, recorded 898k viewers and 16.7% share. The eight-part series follows the journey of six celebrities as they face the challenge of sailing over 5100km across the Atlantic Ocean. Guided by an experienced captain and co-captain, the show offers viewers an exhilarating adventure. Produced by SimpelZodiak and distributed by Rabbit Films, "Over the Atlantic" promises to captivate audiences with its thrilling premise and stunning visuals.

In addition to this, another exciting addition to the Dutch reality adventure landscape is Destination X. This adventure reality competition premiered on Friday, May 10th in primetime on RTL4. The premiere episode garnered significant attention, achieving a healthy 23.5% consolidated average market share in the A25-54 target demographic, with over 850,000 consolidated viewers (A6+).

The ten-part series of Destination X challenges ten contestants to embark on a journey to an undisclosed destination. With black-out blinds on the windows to keep the destination a mystery, reality is often manipulated to deceive both the contestants and viewers at home. Contestants must decipher clues to determine if they can trust what they perceive.
