After eight years, Tiziana Rocca returns as Artistic Director of the Taormina Film Festival, which will celebrate its 71st edition from June 10 to 14, 2025. Since its inception in 1955, the festival has been a key event in both the Italian and international film industry, with Taormina becoming a symbol of culture, beauty, and global tourism.
Tiziana Rocca said:"returning as Artistic Director is an emotional moment for me. Taormina has always had a special place in my heart, and I am eager to contribute with renewed energy and passion. My vision is to celebrate cinema in all its forms, showcasing new talents while honoring established filmmakers. This edition will foster cultural exchange and reinforce the festival’s international standing."
Gianna Fratta, Artistic Director of the Taormina Arte Sicilia Foundation, highlighted the festival’s rich legacy and the ambitious vision for 2025. The upcoming edition will reintroduce the International Competition, feature high-quality film selections, a prestigious jury, and attract major national and international studios back to Taormina.
The Taormina Film Festival is organized by the Taormina Arte Sicilia Foundation with the support of the Sicilian Regional Department of Tourism, Sports, and Entertainment, the Sicily Film Commission, the Municipality of Taormina, and the Italian Ministry of Culture.
