Gabriele Muccino will receive the Best Director Award for Fino alla fine and Alec Baldwin will be honored with the Filming Italy Achievement Award. The two will engage in an exclusive conversation at the DGA Theater during the opening night.
Marco Perego will present his Oscar-nominated short Dovecote, starring Zoe Saldana, who recently won the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress and is nominated for the Academy Awards. Perego will receive the Creativity Award.
The festival’s opening film will be Fino alla fine by Gabriele Muccino, premiering in the U.S., followed by a special screening of Dovecote with Marco Perego and Zoe Saldana.
