The goal is to treat formats as brands, exploring every potential opportunity for growth both on and off-air, including advertising-funded channels.
Dalton’s career includes significant achievements at ITV Studios, where he served as Head of Brand Partnerships for North EMEA, overseeing 26 territories and driving major format brands like Love Island, I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here, and My Mum, Your Dad. He was instrumental in boosting ITV’s format revenue by more than 60% during his tenure, also playing a key role in integrating ITV with Talpa’s distribution team in 2020. Prior to ITV, Dalton spent eight years at Endemol Shine Group, where he rose to become Regional Sales Director for CEE. He was involved with top scripted formats like The Bridge and Penoza, and non-scripted hits like MasterChef and Big Brother across 20 territories. His work at Endemol Shine also included establishing The Wall production hub in Poland, securing key pre-financing deals.
Shimmer Media officially launches ahead of the London Screenings and MIPLondon, with Dalton attending both events. The company is already working with a number of clients, including All3 Media International, where Dalton serves as a formats consultant, Bulgarian production company Hidalgo Productions, where he advises on international strategy, and London-based Inviox Studios, where he holds a fractional role as Chief Business Development Officer. In addition to working with established companies, Shimmer Media offers consultancy for creative businesses, especially independent producers, to help them grow both domestically and internationally.
Dalton is eager to leverage his experience and network to help clients navigate the challenges of the evolving TV industry, bringing fresh, strategic perspectives to format management and distribution.
