Acclaimed American actress, director, and producer Robin Wright will be honored with the Crystal Nymph Award at the Closing Ceremony of the 64th Monte-Carlo Television Festival on June 17, 2025, at the Grimaldi Forum, in the presence of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco. The award recognizes outstanding careers and lasting contributions to the television industry.
Wright rose to fame as Buttercup in The Princess Bride and gained global acclaim for her role as Claire Underwood in House of Cards, earning a Golden Globe and several Emmy nominations. She has also made her mark behind the camera as a bold and visionary director and producer.
Festival Director Laurent Puons praised Wright as “a remarkable actress whose talent and artistic commitment have deeply impacted television and cinema.” Executive Director Cécile Menoni added, “Awarding her the Crystal Nymph is a natural choice.”
Wright responded, “It’s a true honor to receive the Crystal Nymph Award. I look forward to sharing this moment with fellow lovers of the craft in Monte-Carlo.”
The Golden Nymph Awards Ceremony will close the Festival, celebrating excellence in international television.
