Banijay Entertainment announces the first-ever celebrity edition of hit strategy game show The Fortune Hotel, set to air on TV 2 Norway. Produced by Nordisk Banijay, this marks the format’s third international adaptation, following its 2024 debut by Tuesday’s Child for ITV1 and ITVX.
In the Norwegian version, 11 celebrity pairs check into a luxurious hotel, each with a briefcase—one hides a cash prize, another an “Early Checkout” card. The game unfolds with high-stakes twists, strategic alliances, and nightly case-swapping at the Lady Luck bar. Only one pair will win the grand prize.
Helen Greatorex, Head of Format Acquisitions at Banijay, says: “With glamour, drama, and strategy, The Fortune Hotel has huge international appeal. The celebrity edition adds a whole new level of excitement.”
Erlend Hernø Røeggen, CEO of Nordisk Banijay, adds: “This show is pure escapism—suspenseful, sun-soaked, and full of surprises.”
Banijay continues to grow its global formats slate, with recent launches like 99 to Beat, The Bloody Game, Genius Game, The Infiltrators, and Clone Heads. The Fortune Hotel joins Nordisk Banijay’s lineup alongside Are You For Real?, 71 Degrees North, and Born Winners.
