The second season of Maria Corleone, starring Rosa Diletta Rossi, is set to premiere on Tuesday, April 29, in prime time at 9:20 p.m. on Canale 5. The series is produced by Taodue and Clemart with RTI.
In the new episodes, Maria finds herself entangled in critical situations, caught in a dangerous game of power and revenge that threatens her loved ones and everything she has worked for. Amid shootings, betrayals, and perilous alliances, the fate of her family and her love story grows increasingly uncertain.
The series brings back its central cast, led by Rosa Diletta Rossi as Maria Corleone, daughter of crime boss Don Luciano Corleone. Maria dreams of becoming a fashion designer but is forced to confront the heavy legacy of her family's criminal past. Rossi began her television career in 2010 with the miniseries Mia madre directed by Ricky Tognazzi, and has since appeared in series such as Che Dio ci aiuti, Suburra – The Series, and Nero a metà.
Alessandro Fella plays Luca Spada, a public prosecutor and Maria’s former partner, as well as the father of her son, Giovannino. Fella, familiar to audiences from both television and film, portrays a man torn between his commitment to justice and his lingering feelings for Maria, who struggles to sever ties with her family.
Fortunato Cerlino, widely recognized for his role as Pietro Savastano in Gomorrah – The Series, returns as Don Luciano Corleone. Vittorio Magazzù and Federica De Cola appear as Maria’s brothers, Stefano and Sandra Corleone, respectively.
Fabrizio Ferracane joins the cast as Matteo Lombardo, a ruthless businessman and international toxic waste trafficker determined to reclaim control of the Palermo port from Don Luciano. Denise Tantucci portrays Beatrice Serra, a captivating entrepreneur who wins the heart of Stefano.
