On the second episode of emotainment show C’è Posta per te (Got Mail For you) broadcast by Canale 5 on Saturday January 15, 2022 in prime time the show reached 5.6mln viewers with an audience share of 28.7% and peaks of 38%. Special guest of the show, the Turkish actor Can Yaman who is becoming very popular in Italy.
The actor is also the main character of upcoming Mediaset’s series Viola come il mare (tr.Purple Like Sun) set in Rome and Sicily.
Can Yaman is the co-star with Francesca Chillemi, former Miss Italy and model. The series is produced by Lux Vide and Mediaset and is loosely based on a story written by writer Simona Tanzini (Do you know Summer).
The story revolves around the character of Viola (Francesca Chillemi), a TV journalist suffering from a neurological disorder, synesthesia.
This disorder affects the way she perceives things around her. By coincidence, Viola finds herself drawn into a murder case.
The murder of a twenty-year-old girl, strangled. The first suspect is a famous songwriter, Zelig. She is then put in touch with a policeman, Zelig.
Viola perceives things around her with colours and music because of her neurological disorder. She will start investigating the crime based on her perception of things.
It is not yet known what role Can Yaman will play in the series Purple like Sea. After Can Yaman’s success around the world and in particular in Italy with the series Day Dreamer (Erkenci Kus), Bitter Sweet (Dolunay) and more recently Mr Wrong (Bay Yanlis).
Can Yaman is due to appear in February 2022 in the new version of the series Sandokan. A series from 1976 that will be adapted again.
