The second season of the adventure reality format Destination X in Belgium has exceeded all expectations. The premiere episode, which aired last Sunday, achieved a remarkable overnight market share of 44.1% in the 18-44 demographic. This impressive performance came despite tough competition from rival channels and nearly doubled the network's average ratings for Sunday evenings.

Flemish viewers were treated to a celebrity-themed Destination X-Mas special. Airing on Christmas Day, the special garnered a consolidated market share of 32.9% among the 18-44 demographic, setting the stage for the highly anticipated second season.

The buzz surrounding Destination X continues to grow as the format prepares for its international premieres later this year. The U.S. (NBC) and the U.K. (BBC) are set to launch their versions, along with Denmark's debut season on DR and a confirmed second season in the Netherlands (RTL4).

'Blending adventure travel with an intricate guessing game, Destination X offers viewers a thrilling and unpredictable experience. Ten contestants embark on a mysterious journey aboard the blacked-out 'Destination X' bus, where nothing is as it seems. With no knowledge of their location, participants must play games to win clues about their whereabouts. However, deceptive tactics are deployed at every turn to mislead them. Contestants must determine which clues are genuine, as each episode ends with the player whose guess is furthest from the bus's actual location being eliminated, losing their chance at the grand cash prize. Viewers at home are also invited to join the adventure, piecing together the episode's clever clues and twists.
