WTFN GROUP AND SEVEN NETWORK EXPAND STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP

WTFN GROUP AND SEVEN NETWORK EXPAND STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP
Starting this month, WTFN’s digital division, Radar, has taken the reins of Seven’s Great Home Ideas channels on YouTube and Facebook. The relaunch introduces a fresh new look, an updated programming schedule, and a focused growth strategy aimed at attracting more subscribers and increasing engagement.

Great Home Ideas serves as the ultimate digital destination for DIY, food, gardening, lifestyle, and pet content, featuring expert tips, hacks, recipes, and advice from Australia’s top specialists—many of whom appear on the long-running Seven series Better Homes and Gardens. The Great Home Ideas YouTube channel, which has been active since 2012, is nearing the milestone of 950,000 subscribers.

This transition marks the first time Great Home Ideas will be managed externally by an experienced multi-channel network (MCN). Radar, one of just 50 companies worldwide to achieve YouTube MCN status, oversees a growing portfolio of over 30 owned and third-party digital channels, including Bondi Vet, The Dog Whisperer, and Oceanliner Designs.

Following the relaunch, WTFN and Seven will continue to explore new ways to expand the reach of Seven’s content. Discussions are already in progress for WTFN to repurpose Better Homes and Gardens content into fresh lifestyle programming for international distribution through Fred Media.

Richard Henson, Director of Distribution & Content Partnerships at Seven Network, said: "We are excited to deepen our relationship with the WTFN Group and work alongside Radar to enhance and expand the Great Home Ideas brand. Coming from a production background, the Radar team offers a unique blend of creative vision and strategic audience growth expertise, ensuring our IP reaches its full potential in the digital space. Given Radar’s proven success with other content brands, we are confident they will take Great Home Ideas to new heights."

Derek Dyson, Chief Commercial Officer at WTFN, who oversees Radar, highlighted the significance of the partnership:"The Seven Network team is forward-thinking in its approach to digital, fully embracing new opportunities through partnerships like ours. With 30 seasons and counting, Better Homes and Gardens is one of Australia’s most beloved programs, offering an incredible wealth of premium content. By relaunching Great Home Ideas under Radar’s management, we will not only refresh its brand but also develop innovative ways to engage new audiences. We are honored to be entrusted with this responsibility and look forward to taking Great Home Ideas to its next phase of growth."
