Bravo's format “Project Runway” is back
Magical Elves, co-founded by Jane Lipsitz and Dan Cutforth, are the producers on the upcoming 17th season of Bravo’s Project Runway, which is currently in pre-production ahead of its 2019 premiere.

Bravo Media has revealed that the original production company behind the first five years of Project Runway will return as the franchise returns to the network.

The fashion design reality competition – which began in 2004 with host Heidi Klum and fashion experts Nina Garcia and Michael Kors – aired for five years on Bravo before moving to Lifetime for 11 seasons. There, it was produced by The Weinstein Company and Bunim/Murray Productions.

Following The Weinstein Company’s declaration of bankruptcy, Lantern Entertainment acquired all of TWC’s assets, including the series, paving the way for a return to Bravo.

“We built the series from the ground up with Bravo and it is part of the DNA of our company,” said Cutforth in a statement.

“We are really excited to reflect some of the incredible changes that have happened in the fashion world since we last produced the series,” added Lipsitz.
